Publishing Guidelines

At Pomegranate Books, we are committed to publishing writers in a time where Trans and Queer voices are being silenced. If you are interested in writing with us, please review our guidelines:

Encouraged

  • New writers

  • Trans/Queer BIPOC writers

  • ​Graphic, explicit material

  • Political fiction and nonfiction

  • Experimental and genre-blending writing

  • Writings about power, violence and colonialism (e.g. white supremacy, anti-Blackness, etc.)

Not for us

  • Poetry​
  • AI-generated works
  • Manuscripts

  • Works that perpetuate hatred and harmful stereotypes

  • Works that are not aligned with our anti-oppression values, or do not pass beta reader testing
